About Me
Noah Stevens is a violist, composer, conductor, and educator based in NYC. Recent performance highlights include playing alongside members of the New York Philharmonic in a concert with Lang Lang, the world premier of Joshua Fadenholz’s record breaking viola sonata, and multiple multi-media collaborations, such as with the indie rock band nüvă, and with dancer/choreographer Alyssia Farias. He has performed with leading classical artists such as the Attacca and Kronos string quartets, and violin soloists Randall Goosby and Blake Pouliot.
Noah plays regularly with various orchestras, including the NYC Orchestra Project, underStaffed Chamber Orchestra, String Orchestra of Brooklyn, the New York International Symphony Orchestra, and the Higher Word Orchestra. His playing has been broadcast on EWTN, an international television network with over 400 million daily viewers, and he has performed solo in Grand Central Station as part of the Dear New York art installation. He has performed as a recitalist at Martin Scorca Hall in NYC, and the Van Vleck House in Montclair, NJ.
He has composed music for film and dance, and his concert music has been read by critically acclaimed ensembles like Time for Three and the Cavani String Quartet.
Noah is a teaching faculty with the NJSO Youth Orchestra, where he leads instrumental sectionals and conducts rehearsals.
He studies conducting with Kyle Ritenauer, and spends his summers at the Pierre Monteux School for Conductors in Hancock Maine.
Outside of music, Noah enjoys hiking, public speaking, and playing the tuba.
